Once a month, we throw a huge birthday party celebration! Why? It is our way to ensure the children who are members of Mary’s Little Champions are celebrated.
The children who attend Mary’s Little Champions come from poor families. Many of them do not have the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays at home. We want all the children to know they are special and loved, so at the end of each month, we throw a big birthday party for all the children. We have a special lunch and I bake cupcakes for the children. After lunch, we play games, sing songs, and watch a short show. Each child who attended classes during the month receives a bag of special treats and a small prize. The birthday children receive a small birthday present.
This small monthly act is our way to show each child that they are a special treasure and loved.
