Our Family

We (Taylor Schmidt and my seven children) moved to Peru from Brillion, Wisconsin. After years of prayer and discernment, the Holy Spirit guided us into mission work. We sold everything we owned and moved to Peru to begin our new life.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. Living far from home and far from everything we once knew challenged us in many ways, yet the Lord has been incredibly faithful. He has filled our lives with countless blessings through the people we have met and the community that welcomed us with open arms.

What we have found here is deeper and more beautiful than we ever imagined. We are surrounded by loving and generous people who have truly become family.

The Mission Family

We have a “mission family” back home in Brillion. We are reminded of them daily (not only because we miss them), but our mission building, multiple churches, water systems, roads, the very roof over our heads would not exist without them.

Without them, without you, nothing would be possible. You bring hope to thousands of people and that is a testament to our Faith and being a part of the Body of Christ.

From Wisconsin to Peru

Moving to Peru

Coming from a farming community we knew we could find things in common with the our new community.

Making Peru Home

From a tent without electricity to a small home on the missionary grounds, Peru is home.

Loving Peru

We've been so fortunate to be welcomed into a community filled with faith, love, and selfless spirit.
